Andalusians that Jump
Can andalusians jump? A question I have often been asked. The answer is simply, Yes, an andalusian horse can jump.
Probably the most famous jumping andalusian is the Lusitano stallion, Novilheiro. Bred by Manuel Veiga, under the hand of John Whitaker he was the highest prize-money winner of his time.
Just as with any breed, and with any discipline, not every horse will reach the top heights
but a well going andalusian who jumps can be an ongoing pleasure for his rider.
Our PRE stallions have proved themselves in dressage and in breeding. Now we have some wonderful reports of the andalusians from our stud who are now proving stars in their jumping careers.
