Terms used to describe the spectrum you'll see among Purebred Spanish horses - White Andalusian Stallions Paintings and films featuring Pura Raza Española horses present the ideal of the 'dancing white horse' - except, of course, for Antonio Banderas and Zorro. (but then, he's not riding a PRE...) 
The majority of white Andalusian horses are born black, or very dark grey. They gradually become whiter as the years pass, and you can expect to see that snow white appearance at around 10 years in the Purebred Spanish horse. Purebred Spanish horses - white from birth.

dressage medallist, was talking recently in a television interview about Invasor,
that spectacular white Purebred Spanish Horse who made such an impression in the last Games.
At the Atlanta Games, he said, when Invasor was 7 years old, his coat color
was still a dark grey.

SICAB 2005Andalusian Horse Colours - like all things - are subject to fluctuating fashions. There have been champions of Spain this color, and some of the most famous studs still breed from those lines.
