'dancing white horse' - except, of course, for Antonio Banderas and Zorro. (but then, he's not riding a PRE...)
The majority of white Andalusian horses are born black, or very dark grey.
They gradually become whiter as the years pass, and
you can expect to see that snow white appearance at around 10 years in the Purebred
Spanish horse.
Purebred Spanish horses - white from birth. There's a small number of Andalusian Horses that are white from birth.
Their skin appears pink - it's normally classified as unpigmented.
In Passing:Rafael Soto, Spain's Olympic
dressage medallist, was talking recently in a television interview about Invasor,

At the Atlanta Games, he said, when Invasor was 7 years old, his coat color
was still a dark grey.

Note from Josephine: When I first heard this term, I was convinced it was tordo
picasso - I still think it's a pretty good alternative!

Andalusian Horse Colours - like all things - are subject to fluctuating fashions.
There have been champions of Spain this color, and some of the most famous studs
still breed from those lines.
DAPPLE GREY - TORDO RODEADO
- a grey with circles.
I know you can't see much of his coat, but I couldn't resist the look on his face!
