Spanish Walk

Spanish Walk - paso espanol The dramatic, rhythmic and elegant free movement of the front legs, typically connected with the andalusian horse.

Teaching a horse to perform this movement is part of alta escuela training. We are planning to film a training video on this. If you would like to be added to the mailing list and informed of when the video is launched, contact us.

A true spanish walk is 4 beat, with an even rhythm and neatly marked steps. A hurried, stamping down of the front feet is not desirable.

The horse below demonstrates a cadence and deliberation that is admirable.
